OM System OM-1
The new Olympus Housing for the OM-1 MIL micro four-thirds camera is the perfect partner for your travels and will protect your camera while snorkling, diving, surfing or any kind of underwater activity you have in mind (the housing is IP53 rated). The OM-1 is a great Mid-Range camera boasting with 20.4 MP sensor, 5 axis stabilization and 520 shots per charge. Videowise it does 4K at 60 frames - and 1080p at 240 frames per second.

Ergonomics and handling
Ergonomics and handling go hand in hand when Ikelite design their new housings. The dials, levers and buttons are designed to be intuitive and easy to use. When your subject is fast moving you can easily get the composition, the exposure, shutter speed and focus, right in a jiffy. As with all Housings something can go wrong but Ikelite has got you covered! They got pretty much every spare part down to a button spring.

Installation
When installing the camera, you just attach it to mounting plate and with ¼-20 threaded mount and slide it into the housing (front loaded). When removing it there’s a release button inside the house.
Camera Safety

Port System
Lens port sold separately; A compatible DLM lens port is required for waterproof operation.
The port system is very simple – just press the port against the housing and tighten it with 3 thumb screws.
The housing has a great deal of DLM Ports available for the best zoom, macro and wide angle lenses. The acrylic dome ports provide the same durability and color clarity as glass domes just a lot cheaper and a lot lighter. 


Lighting

This camera does not feature a built-in flash for the triggering of fiber optic strobes. So if you wan’t to focus on your composition - and let your camera evaluate how much light is needed from your flash - you have to get the DL3 DS Link TTL Converter and Hotshoe Kit # 46032. 
It is easy to install and locks right onto the hotshoe and bulkhead.

This TTL Converter is ideal for the many flashes from Ikelite like:

Durability and endurance
The housing is ASB-PC blend material that’s durable, light and provides a corrosion free year with minimal maintenance. The lid snaps that close the housing and keeps it sealed are made out of stainless steel. The controlls and dials are made out of type III anodized aluminum and stainless steel. The housing is built with a unique rear seal design that prevents accidental twisting of the rear O-ring. With this housing they have also removed the O-ring grove that could trap sand and dirt. Closing the housing is easy with 2 stainless reliable lid snaps holding it secure and water tight.
You can add the vacuum kit #47012 for added security. It features a 1/2-20 threaded accessory valve you can easily install yourself on top of the housing. Using the pump on the valve in the kit to create vacuum inside the housing helps you make sure your housing is watertight before a dive and also helps prevent pressure leaks.

Compatibility
This housing only accommodates the OM System OM-1 camera. Differences in lens and control placement prevent other camera models from being used interchangeably in the same housing. Unless otherwise noted, this housing does not accommodate the use of add-on grips, battery grips, eyepieces, LCD covers, or other accessories.
